Greetings, I would like any information on a Zodiac Argent 18k watch. My father passed and left me the watch but I can't find any details on it.  Also, it needs servicing and I can't find a jeweler willing to work on it.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you post a pic of the back too? I am unsure of the Argent part and the stars, maybe a company watch for retirement? They did make presentation watches for companies. What country are you located in?

This is a late 1960's or very early 70's Zodiac 18K dress watch and band, was probably over $700 back then. As for the service, send me an email (link to the left) and I will give you a referral to a guy here in the US.

Thanks for the quick response. The back has no markings and crown has a B on it. My residence is in Maryland. I took the watch to a couple watch repair shops but they would not service it. I contacted Zodiac via their website and their responses to my questions were insufficient. What learned through searching the web that the watch has a caliber 86 movement; nothing else. Thanks again for your help.

Nice looking watch. I lean with Butch. Did the old man stay at the same company long enough to receive a gold watch upon retirement?

Thanks! My father purchased the watch around 1971 in Philadelphia. I'm looking for information to identify the model and a Zodiac dealer to service it. Additionally, I'm looking for a correct box, user manual, or catalog depicting the watch.

"Argent" could be French (Zodiac was produced in the French speaking part of Switzerland, so you often find text in French associated with the brand for instance "Montres de precision" meaning precision watches). Argent in French means silver - or money. Perhaps a clue somehow, even if the watch is a gold model.
