Band Width for Zodiac Olympos

Thanks for the help in identifying my father's Zodiac Olympos . . . I'm about 5,000 miles away from the watch right now, but I want to see about getting a new band for it.   It's currently on an expansion bracelet, and I have heard that the expansion bracelets were bad about causing wear on the lugs.

My question is:   what is the proper width for the band where it will attach via a springbar to the lugs?   I've looked at a number of Olympos models on the Web, but haven't found this information.   My dad's Olympos is the one with the asymmetric shape and the "mystery dial" with the hour hand painted on a revolving disk.

It's my plan to have the watch serviced and to wear it in honor of my father . . .

Thanks!

Butch

The Zodiac Olympos takes a 17.5 MM band.
