Vintage Automatic Moonphase Questions

Greetings!

I'm new to this site and recently acquired a vintage 20 micron GP automatic moonphase - no. 1,814,240. Any idea as to the year? Also, what was the original band - GP metal? leather? I'd like to find an original or 'duplicate'. It came with a Spiedel black w/gold trim.

BTW, it keeps great time (+/- 1 sec so far) and looks brand new (w/orig. dial).

Thanks for any info. you might have!

Butch

Can you post a picture? You might be able to find it in the catalogs.
