Hi guys,
I got few weeks ago a very special version of a Zodiac olympos mystery dial with a Peseux 300 caliber, manual, with two radium hands, a "real" arrow for hours and extra flat shape.

Using Lens application I got the same, gold plated version, which was on Ebay years ago, nothing else...

I got the watch from the first owner ( seems to be a honest guy !) and he told me, there was no transformations on....

With the help of Butch and the serial number, the date of production was estimated between and of 50s , very beginning of 60s....

I recently found the answer, it is the "New Look" Model.
And I found just one information on the internet from time2tell website "the asymmetrical New-Look model was launched, with a partially transparent hour hand. This model was renamed Olympos in 1960"

Do you have any information on this very short production model ?
Now I am trying to find the bracelet !

i found the Zodiac Newlook model in "Revue internationale de l'horlogerie | 1960 | 5/12".

Another reference in journal "La Suisse Horlogère - Édition Internationale | 1960 | 2/4"

It seems that this model was exposed during the "BaselWorld" of 1960 (wich was named at this early period in french "la Foire suisse de l'horlogerie" or in german "Schweizer Uhrenmesse.
I can not find additional information

Sorry, I read this, meant to come back, and did not. I actually owned that model once. I believe it is the predesessor to the automatic Olympus that first appears in the 1961 catalogs that I have. And that one had the painted hand on the rotating dial. The manual winds like that with the engraved dial are had to come by.

Another examle of how Zodiac did this was the Orbiter in the 60's with the 21,600 beat movement morphed into 1969's Astrographic, with the date moved from 3 to 12, and the hi-beat 36,000 SST movement added.

I do not believe so.  I have serviced that caliber series in other watches, but as far as Olympos models go I think this exact reference is the only one I have never had in.  All other versions, including both Olympos SST models, have been in the shop at least a few times.
